    The role is all around providing customer service and sales support. This includes supporting our selling programs, selling products, processing orders, resolving customer and freight queries and educating customers about our products and services. It is therefore important for someone in this role to be able to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external. From time to time you will be expected to be on the road, visiting customers and participating in events.

    • You are very organised, flexible, calm, and able to multi-task in a busy environment. You are also a skilled and efficient problem solver.

    Loving Earth is looking for an experienced and proactive Packaging Technologist to be a part of our close-knit Product Development team. You will play a major role in ensuring timely delivery of product innovations and continuous improvement for our domestic and international markets. Part of the role will also be ensuring packaging compliance throughout our range of chocolate, cereals, and super foods.

    The Packaging Technologist will be reporting to the Product Development Manager and Creative Director. The position is based in Scoresby. 

    Key Responsibilities: 

    • Manage packaging projects ensuring timely delivery of all packaging components from early conception to finished product. 
    • Research and develop new packaging concepts, and improve on existing ones to enhance product quality, as well as customer and consumer experience. This role will be responsible for leading packaging tests, as well as analysing and reporting on outcomes. 
    • Source and procure new packaging and assist in the forecasting and costing of new packaging components.   
    • Assist in artwork changes and proofing, with the prospect of being responsible for artwork proofing. 
    • Responsible for updating, organising and communicating up-to-date pricing and packaging-related information and visual assets. Control internal and external product information databases.
    • Accountable for packaging compliance with local and international standard: e.g., FSANZ, Kosher, ACO, Non-GMO and GS1.


    • Excellent time management and project management skills; ability to manage risk with continuous improvement mindset
    • Experience in an FMCG company in a packaging or technical related field
    • Expertise in food packaging regulations
    • Ability to work in a team environment or autonomously to resolve problems and improve systems
    • High attention to detail and quality
    • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to understand and execute complex projects, with ability to translate into and develop actionable plans.
    • Commercially savvy
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite an advantage`
