    • Love Letters

Four little letters, one tiny word, and a whole lot of deliciousness filled with love.

They are full of goodness too thanks to Loving Earth’s cold pressed organic coconut oil, known for its healthy saturated fats which boost brain function and heart health, and the raw cacao powder which is high in antioxidants and other nutrients that help keep us energised, healthy, and happy. And we can’t forget the indulgent layer of Loving Earth’s Almond Crunch cashew mylk chocolate which not only tastes divine but is jam packed with plant-based nutrients.

Little kitchen helpers will love to get involved (particularly in the chocolate melting process!) but watch out for disappearing letters! As you can see, it was very nearly E for ‘eaten’!

    • Mocha Morning Buzz

Our chilled smoothie version of a morning cappuccino has the addition of dates for a little sweetness, a touch of cacao and some rolled oats to make it thicker and more comforting so you’ll last longer on it. It’s a real treat and has a very round flavour. We are leaving some leeway here with the amount of espresso and dates, so you can make it as potent or as sweet as you like.

On hot summer mornings, we fill our glass with ice before pouring over the blend and call it a Mochachino on the Rocks.

This recipe is taken from Green Kitchen Smoothies by David Frenkiel and Luise Vindahl, published by Hardie Grant Books and available now where all good books are sold. Find out more information on the book here.

    • Chocolate Granola

This is one my favourite things to have for breakfast and if I'm telling the truth, I sometimes have this as a cheeky afternoon snack too. Cacao takes centre place, offering you a really hearty (yet healthy) chocolatey punch. The sweet acidity of the Goji berries helps bind the whole dish together and as a massive fan of shredded coconut, for me this really couldn't be a better way to start the day.

If your child is a fussy eater and getting them to eat their greens is an issue, please don’t feel that you’re alone! Most parents have to navigate this over and over again with different tactics and strategies until their little one develops a palette for green veggies.

One tactic is asking your child to think of their favourite monster or green character and rename this smoothie with that name, if you’re lucky they may give this a go! If that doesn’t work you could add a tablespoon or two of cacao powder and this green monster goes in disguise as a chocolatey drink. Good luck!

    • Chocolate White Mulberry Canelé

Traditionally a canelé is a small French pastry with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust. This is my take on this French classic. Cacao again is at the forefront of this dish but is offset nicely with the freshness of the mulberries and the spice of the ginger. I often breakout these bad boys for dinner parties, particularly as they are so quick and easy to make. Last time I made ...
