Wow! I was trying to experiment with using different dried fruits for raw desserts (trying to avoid over consuming dates at the moment). The buckwheat gives it the most phenomenal crunch!

Orange Buckini Balls

- 2 cups of raisins
- 1½ cup of Raw Almonds
- ½ cup of Raw Cashews
- 100 grams of almond meal
- ¾ cup of Cacao Powder
- ½ tsp Vanilla Powder
- ½ cup of Plain Buckinis
- 1 tsp Coconut Oil
- 4 drops of orange essence or ¼ of shaven orange peel
- Step 1Add raisins, ¾ of the almonds and almond meal to the processor & pulse until you have a crunchy but smooth texture.
- Step 2Then add a few cashews and remaining almonds and blend a little further.
- Step 3Add cacao, coconut oil, vanilla powder, orange essence (or orange peel) and blend until smooth with some crunchy bits.
- Step 4With clean hands massage through Plain Buckinis to finish. Roll into balls and then roll through a little extra buckwheat for an extra crunch.
